Hey, I know this post may get me into trouble with my fellow Christians so please can you see the humour in it and where it comes from? It is poetic, it’s satire. I am not changing scripture. It just seems to me that all Christians have forgotten what the bible says when we need it the most. Think of the parts in italics as people’s thoughts as opposed to bible verses.
Bible verse 1- Heb 10:23-25
23Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,25not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. I hope you see the bigger picture here. How we misinterpret the bible and take out the parts we want! It is no use boarding yourself up in your house only to let the rest of the population starve. There is no need for stockpiling and panic buying food as the stores remain open. If you are in a position to help others do it. You can continue to pay your domestic workers and factory workers through the shutdown. Feed the hungry, help those in need. Spread hope and love and not fear.
