Durban business owner, Kate Snell has done something a little different this year to celebrate her birthday. She is always looking for ways to support local artists and local businesses and now she has done that with flare!
Kate owns The Office which is a Co-Working space in Innes Road Durban. It offers hot desk options for entrepreneurs includes WIFI, printing and other amenities. It also is a great venue to hire for workshops or small work events. I have attended two workshops there. They were not only informative but fun and well organised. They both included delicious eats and friendly faces!
POP UP ART
In an effort to support local community art @theoffice97 at 97InnesRd are opening up their venue as a free #popupgallery! They invite all local artists, photographers, graphic designers and illustrators! Contact them if you wish to display any of your work. This will be a free initiative with all proceeds from sales going to the artist. They will be accepting work until 10th July ( space permitting ) thereafter the venue will be open to the public during our normal working hours Mon to Fri 8-4 pm and Sat 8-1 pm.
To participate contact Kate 0719681007 or [email protected]
For Kate’s Birthday, She has invited friends, family and fellow Boss Mama’s to pop in Friday or Saturday to The Office, for a slice of cake and coffee. She has asked that instead of buying her a gift, that we support the local artists who have put their beautiful work on display! Pop in This Friday 10 July 8-4 pm and Saturday 11 July 8-1 pm.
This is a great initiative to support and refreshing to have an art exhibition of sorts during a time of crisis and a celebration of Durban creatives at work!
