I understand after the family meeting we are all a little cautious with any kind of events, even the ones that are legally allowed to operate. All these establishments have taken great care to cover all COVID protocols as well as encouraging all their guests and patrons to be responsible as well.

Yes!! They are still open during level 2, They are even legally allowed to be open in level 3 as they are considered the same as a shopping centre. YAY for the local stallholders who are trying to provide for their families!
In order to keep everyone that attends the market safely, they ask that their rules be followed It is up to the public attending our market to be socially responsible and distance themselves (we have enough space) as well as follow the correct protocols.

Drumming Circle

Come through to Cafe Umfula in Gibaland for our once-a-month Drum Circle! This is a family event that the kids will love!
Due to the new restrictions, we have moved it to start at 5 pm and finish at 9 pm. The kitchen will close at 8 pm per normal Drum nights.
The entry fee to the event is R40 and then if you would like to join in and hire a drum it’s an additional R40.
*Entry into the park is R20 p/p

Blarney & Son is a refreshed version of the Blarney Brothers, South Africa’s No.1 party band for the last 47 years. Tony Fisher still has a lot to give and has aligned with his son David Fisher to bring back the Irish Ballads and Party Music this country has loved for so long. Both Tony & David are multi-talented musicians who love to get the party started. Their repertoire will have you dancing on tables, singing along or maybe a tear here and there. In a short space of time, the duo has made a huge impact on the Durban music circuit and continue to be the top Irish Party Band.

Patrons need to wear a face and nose covering at all times in the venue except when eating or drinking.
All patrons will have their temperatures taken on arrival at the venue.
Patrons above the age of 60 or a person with co-morbidities will be discouraged from attending performances. (GOVT GUIDELINES – please be guided by your own health status)
COVID is not gone, it is here, and thankfully the PPE items work and allow us to carry on and do so safely!! We need to figure out a way of living with this. Being responsible and still helping those in the entertainment and hospitality industries to not lose their incomes! Please support local!
