What’s on Durban? We just heard Cyril give his speech. So it looks like tomorrow it is safest to stay indoors! I cannot for the life of me understand how looting shops and stealing TVs will get Zuma out of prison? Guys, think about it! Criminal activity is not going to move your government to let a criminal out of prison.
Just let him do his time. The way he counts it will go by so quickly! I don’t like covering political stories but it is becoming harder to avoid. Someone is inciting this anarchy and criminal behaviour but to what end? They are exploiting impoverished communities for their own gain. Think, will it actually achieve anything? Nothing but destruction and more poverty!

Anyway, that being said, what’s on Durban this week?
Restaurants are open again!
Stay safe but please support your local restaurants. Support the #justonemeal initiative where you buy one meal out in the week to support our local restaurants! Please share your favourite places to eat in the comments. Let’s help one another.
Nifty Thrifty
I opened my new shop Nifty Thrifty , Second-hand clothing and books. There are many other beautiful things at the centre. Artwork, cushions, Handcrafted bathmats, crocheted bags, sleepwear, fudge, biltong etc. There is a sit-down area to eat and drink well-made coffee with a glorious scenic view of the 1000 Hills valley!
“There can be no greater gift than that of giving one’s time and energy to help others without expecting anything in return.” Nelson Mandela
NPO to support this week! (endorsed by What’s on Durban?)
I met Brenda Blose of the RTS Foundation recently. What an incredible, inspiring woman doing her part to build our nation. It is an organization that aims to offer economic empowerment, opportunities to bring transformation and contribute to the development of women & the youth of South Africa.
My advice is to be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem. Empower others, Help your communities instead of tearing them down! Be a part of bringing Unity! The choice is yours.
