Mexico

Mexico: Your Ultimate Vacation Spot

We all need to venture abroad and switch off at times, don’t we? Be it due to the stresses of
parenting or the business world leaving you feeling drained, taking a break is a good thing to do as
we aim to recharge our batteries and attack the rest of the year in the very best way possible.
Mexico is a great place to do it, too.

On this glorious planet of ours, there is an extensive selection of enticing holidays that can be
booked in minutes and will provide memories for years. For many people, Mexico is the place to
go, and understandably so too. The country in the southern portion of America boasts an
impressively extensive offering that is capable of satisfying the most experienced of travellers. If
you need further convincing, though, then let’s take a look at why you should consider Mexico for
your next holiday. In 2022 alone, 31.9 million people visited this amazing destination.

Mexican hospitality is flawless.

First and foremost, when you travel to any foreign territory, you want to feel welcome there.
Despite the stories surrounding the country’s drug cartels and crime rates in certain parts of the
nation, Mexico is a largely safe place that is home to a warm and friendly population of people. In
fact, they say that you can’t beat Mexican hospitality and it’s easy to see why. From friendly waiters
and taxi drivers to businesses that welcome your custom and restaurants that want to show you
the best food to try in Mexico, Mexican hospitality is hard to fault. After all, Mexicans are proud
people and want you to see their beautiful country in all its glory.

Inspiring landscape

Exploring Mayan ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula is a must. People go to the Yucatan Peninsula for a number of reasons, be it the pristine beaches, to see Mexico’s famous Riviera Maya up close, or venture deep into the forests to find the various Mayan ruins that can be found there. As seen in movies like The Ruins, shows like Guatemala (Heart of the Mayan World), and Mayan-themed games like Gonzo’s Quest, a popular casino game that entertains mass audiences with its 5 reels and 20 pay lines format, there are numerous Mayan ruins in this part of the world, Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula included. Providing a fascinating dive back in time, people can see a range of Mayan ruins, from Chichen Itza, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the ancient Mayan city of Calakmul.

Mexico’s beaches are amazing

As we’ve already touched on in locations like the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico’s beach offering is
one of the strongest on Earth. Not only will the crystal clear waters tempt you in for a swim, but
they generally possess a relaxed vibe, although some beaches do offer water-based activities and
various pampering treatments. Right now, the best beaches in the country include Playa Balandra
in La Paz, Isla Mujeres in Quintana Roo, Zihuatanejo in Guerrero, and loads more.

You have to experience the Day of the Dead

An annual celebration that takes place each year on the first two days of November, if you can
book your vacation to Mexico around a Day of the Dead experience then you definitely won’t be
disappointed. A celebration of loved ones who have passed away, everyone is welcome to get
involved and party the night away in honour of the people who are no longer here. There are all-
night vigils to attend, fireworks displays, bright and vibrant colours everywhere, and an all-around
amazing vibe for what is a unique celebration. You can even try some proper tequila, too.
