I sat down With Matt and Wanda from We Cloud to ask them a few questions and find out details about an exciting business Expo that is being held soon!
How did WeCloud begin?
Matt was 25 and doing pastel accounting. He was always involved with IT in some way. He had studied IT and could see this was the way the world was heading. He always worked for himself being a waiter or coached climbing on the side. It took him 2 years to build and get the concept together. Cloud computing was new to South Africa. Then Sean came on the team. Now He has 7 people on his staff. Even to this day, they are still refining their systems and security measures to make it better and better.
What Challenges have they had during COVID?
Matt never saw COVID and lockdown as a challenge. He rather asked himself and his team, “What can we do? Where can we go? How can we make money in this situation?” I got from Matt that He is a man of strong faith. He is a visionary, very determined, focused and has a passion for helping the community and small businesses. I asked Matt what he would tell a young person wanting to start a business. He answered that they should be willing to work hard, sometimes for free and learn from others. If it’s not a passion and you ok with not making a single cent at times it’s not for you.
What exactly is Cloud computing?
Simply put, cloud computing is computing based on the internet. In the past, people would run applications or programs from software downloaded on a physical computer or server in their building. Cloud computing allows people access to the same kinds of applications through the internet.
What Makes We Cloud stand out?
The pricing for cloud hosting is unbeatable and the architecture of the company is what sets WeCloud above the rest. They have been in this industry for 10 years now and are way ahead in the technology that they use. I also have to add that they are committed to excellent customer service. They have gone far above and beyond!
